It’s Early but Sarah Palin Leads for 2012

I need to state as of today I am not only a Sarah Palin fan I am also a voter that would elect her to higher office – including the Presidency.
I am not amazed Leftists hate her and shout from the roof tops that Palin is unelectable. On the other hand I am amazed that there are some on the GOP side of the aisle who proclaim Palin unelectable. Yet a Rasmussen poll suggests that Sarah Palin is at the top of the list among Republican voters.
Understandably the Left and MSM are continuing to take aim at Palin to shake her popularity among American voters. Daniel Stone writing for anti-Palin Newsweek was very critical of her Tea Party Nation convention speech. Diane Suffern writing for NewsReal tones down Stone’s obvious venom against Palin by astutely noting the Palin speech serves as a platform to make Tea Party movement supporters ecstatic about a Presidential run in 2012. Yet Suffern did not exactly come across as enthusiastic about a Palin Presidential campaign.
Here is the thing. Palin’s Tea Party address was rousing and moving to raise the spirits of Conservatives with like-minded thoughts about America. Indeed Palin’s folksy speech communication style connects with Joe America better than
Iran Deception, Nuclear Enrichment and Israel

The old smoke and mirrors is still being used by Iran concerning their nuclear program that only an idiot would believe is being developed for peaceful purposes.
Ahmadinejad says this about nuclear enrichment:
"I (ask) Dr Salehi to start work on the production of 20% fuel using centrifuges," Ahmadinejad said in a televised speech, referring to Ali Akbar Salehi, who heads the atomic energy body.
"We are interested in cooperation with the West, but if they want to keep playing games with the Iranian nation, then we must be prepared and enrich uranium at 20% ourselves," the president said.
But he added: "The doors for interaction are still open." Ahmadinejad also said Iran had the capability to enrich uranium using laser technology, without elaborating. (From Ynet News)
Ahmadinejad instructs the head of the Iranian nuclear program to proceed to have nuclear centrifuges to enrich uranium to 20%. Then almost with the same breath publicly say Iran is still interested in “cooperation” and “interaction” with the West.
It sounds like a diplomatic channel saying to the effect, “I have a chip on my shoulder. I dare you to knock it off.” The chip is the 20% enrichment. The dare is the cooperation and interaction.

A Militarized EU – Hmm …

The relatively novice German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle has some interesting thoughts of the direction the European Union should be taking. Westerwelle believes the EU should develop a military under the command of the EU Parliament with the ability to mobilize for military crises that might affect the (inter)national interests of the EU members.
I have some thoughts on an EU military but first allow me to discuss Westerwelle from the brief gleanings I found doing a Google search.
From an American perspective he seems to be quite the enigmatic politician with some political and social leanings that an American might have a brain malfunction in grasping.
Westerwelle appears to be a Conservative Market man after the tradition of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. He is pro-get the terrorists in the GWOT action. Westerwelle seems to be a pro-Israel politician in a continent experiencing a resurgence of anti-Semitism. Westerwelle’s political Party is the Free Democratic Party (FDP). The FDP is considered a Liberal Party. In America that would imply a Leftist agenda. As already noted Westerwelle has led the FDP into pro-business (anti-privatization) and a military solution toward the GWOT in Afghanistan. The political mix even becomes more enigmatic. Westerwelle is Germany’s first High Office holder that is openly homosexual. Evidently the
Why the National Media Blackout?
Posted by johnhouk on Feb 06, 2010Dr. Gary Cass of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission (CADC) as reported at Christian Newswire wonders a valid point. If homosexuals, feminists and Muslims are murdered in a public venue; there would be some highly publicized media attention crying prejudice and intolerance is alive and well in America. I would further state if it was a Christian (lunatic or not) murdering the above types of lifestyles and religionists, the media clamor would even be exponentially higher.
The question implied by Dr. Cass: Why is there so much media significance attached to enemies of morality and to a religion that violently believes it is superior to all other religions?
The basis of Dr. Cass’ wondering is that two Christians witnessing at Boynton Beach in California were mercilessly shot death after witnessing to an 18 year old. The kid even finished his murder spree with an execution style coup de grace in the head of one victim.

Two Christians Murdered for Witnessing in Boynton Beach
Christian Newswire
February 5, 2010
VISTA, Calif., Feb. 5 /Christian Newswire/ -- "Anti-Christian hostility is getting increasingly deadly as this week's tragic events demonstrate," said Dr. Gary Cass of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission. "The increasing demonization of Christians in our culture makes some feel its open season on Christians."
According to the Boynton Beach police, simply sharing the word of God on the street is what brought two ministers to the man who killed them. Tite Sufra, 24, and Stephen Ocean, 23, were shot and killed Saturday night after meeting Jeriah Woody, 18. They witnessed to Woody for fifteen minutes when he got a phone call and told the preachers he 'had to go.' As they walked away, Woody suddenly
The Enemy of Peace
Posted by johnhouk on Feb 06, 2010So-called moderate Muslim Edip Yuksel has written a book that accuses the anti-jihad and anti-Islamist hall of fame of being warmongers and enemies of peace. Bill Warner of Political Islam was included in Yuksel’s disdain for the exposers of the nature of Islam. Warner writes a somewhat hostile rebuttal. Warner defends his position as an exposer of the truth concerning Islam.

Political Islam
Imagine my surprise when I opened an email ad from Amazon.com and found that Edip Yuksel, a Muslim who is a leading Islamic reformer, had written a book, Peacemaker's Guide to Warmongers: Exposing Robert Spencer, David Horowitz, and other Enemies of Peace. He made my day. Bill Warner was included in the product description as an enemy of peace. I am flattered.
Why does Mr. Yuksel call me an enemy of peace and a warmonger? It's simple. Partnered with Robert Spencer, I debated him in Frontpage Magazine Symposiums (here and here) and beat him like a drum using the doctrine and history of political Islam. As a result, I have gone from being an opponent in a debate to an enemy of peace.
Am I an enemy of peace? Am I a warmonger? Yes, on an everyday basis and I want you to be an enemy of peace and a warmonger as well.
The question must be asked: what peace are we talking about? Islamic peace. How does Islamic peace come about? Islamic peace comes after jihad and the victory of Islam. Peace is

How do we ensure that China gets on board with Western efforts - now, seemingly and finally, deserving of the term - to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran, the quintessential challenge of our time? If the Chinese will not even agree to sanction the Iranian regime's ruthless Revolutionary Guard, our current approach appears dangerously inadequate.
Quite simply, the United States should initiate a broad military agreement to supply anything and everything to Taiwan, the largest thorn in China's expanding side.
If China comes on board, America wins a crucial partner in stopping Iran. We can certainly live with keeping Taiwan in limbo - they have been there for a while now - and compensating them in some other way.
If China balks, however, then America should execute its deal with Taiwan, supporting an independent and democratic ally. While Chinese power is undoubtedly rising, it is not yet
Iranian Proxies: An Intricate and Active Web
Posted by johnhouk on Feb 06, 2010Occasionally I receive a free STRATFOR intelligence report. In case you are unaware, most information that is at STRATFOR is via a subscription. In fact I am guessing many if not all the referenced links in the article might lead to a paid only location.
Regardless, in light of Caroline Glick’s thoughts that a regional war is imminent surrounding Israel, the below STRATFOR article is a must read.

Iranian Proxies: An Intricate and Active Web

STRATFOR
For the past few years, STRATFOR has been carefully following the imbroglio over the Iranian nuclear weapons program and efforts by the United States and others to scuttle the program. This situation has led to threats by both sides, with the United States and Israel discussing plans to destroy Iranian weapons sites with airstrikes and the Iranians holding well-publicized missile launches and military exercises in the Persian Gulf.
Much attention has been paid to the Iranian deterrents to an attack on its nuclear program, such as the ballistic missile threat and the potential to block the Strait of Hormuz, but these are not the only deterrents Iran possesses. Indeed, over the past several years, Iran has consistently reminded the world about the network of proxy groups that the country can call upon to cause trouble for any country that would attack its nuclear weapons program.
Over the past several weeks, interesting new threads of information about Iranian proxies have come to light, and

The American government and most of the interests of the European Union are demanding the establishment of a Palestinian State carved out of traditional lands that were Jewish in time immemorial. The once Jordanian occupied region they termed as the West Bank (because Jordan was the East Bank) and now termed by Israel as Judea and Samaria is the land America and the EU wish to deliver to a people who in reality have never existed as a nation. Part of this call for Palestinian statehood by America and the EU is to steal the Eastern part of Jerusalem as if that has been an Arab enclave. The reality is when Jordan occupied Judea and Samaria after the 1948 war they also occupied the Eastern part of Jerusalem giving the boot to Jewish inhabitants. The synagogues and Jewish revered sites were then desecrated by Muslim Arabs as the Jews were given the boot.
When Israel recaptured all of Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria at the end of Jordan’s 1967 invasion, did the Western minded Jewish government of Israel allow reprisals and desecration of Muslim sites? No, indeed the Israeli government went

Okay I have to admit I am a Chuck Norris fan from his martial arts, Hollywood and TV entertainment. Saying that I am gratified Norris is in the Conservative realm of thinking. Does being a noted Personality discredit him from having political opinions made public? I believe the answer is no. If it was yes then the huge profile of politically active Leftist actors should have no influence, yet we all know they do.
Norris wrote an article which I read at Human Events concerning the danger our nation faces with President Barack Hussein Obama nominating Federal Judicial appointees of the same mold as his extra-Constitutional Czars and many of his Executive Branch appointments. That mold is Leftist. Indeed, the Leftist mold is radical.
The scope of the appointees is a decent snapshot of what BHO meant when he campaigned for Change. That Change is a socio-political transformation away from what has made America great. And it is true, America is great. Regardless of American Leftist self-loathing and concerns from many of our Slanted Left friends of Europe, America is great.
Has America made mistakes and moral lapses? Undoubtedly.
Has America become a domineering empire squashing war-losing nations into abject submission? The answer is not even close to the nature of historical world empires utilizing military victories to secure power and domination. Quite the contrary: The U. S. A. has been unnaturally benevolent in the first two global wars. President Wilson attempted to establish a League of Nations after entering WWI to shift the balance to victory for the more democratic nations. The irony being the U. S. Senate did not ratify membership of America in the League. By the end of WWII America had become the supreme military power providing aid to rebuild the destruction of winners and losers alike. Yes America is great.
The transformation which President BHO imagines must mean the jettisoning of America’s Christian foundations and the Christian morality that our Founding Fathers initiated from the influence of the earliest colonialists through the Declaration of Independence and framed for our

A Freeze of Jewish Construction in Judea and Samaria

Obama and the Europeans demand a freeze on Jewish construction in the West Bank, in Judea and Samaria. Mahmoud Abbas (aka Abu Mazen) and the Arab League require such a freeze to even consider further negotiations with Israel.
By all means, let's support a freeze - a comprehensive, simultaneous freeze on all sides. Let us freeze the settlements but also freeze the Arab world's (including the Palestinian Authority's) continued rejection of Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state within - at a minimum - the 1967 borders.
Freeze the settlements (located on less than 5% of the West Bank) - Yes! But let's
