I have some sad news to inform you about.

I just read an email from my son who has kept SlantRight.com on the WEB at the largesse of his heart on his servers for free (to me).

Over the years the content I have written has widened an increasing gap between our opinions. At this point my son has decided the gap is too wide. Thus SlantRight.com is being taken down. I am uncertain when the doom will come for SlantRight.com. It probably come shortly after this post because these days my son takes differences personally and will not appreciate the warning of censorship that is coming my way.

I do not have the money or the tech knowledge to migrate this blog somewhere else. If you have enjoyed these posts over the years they will be lost here. Any links back to SlantRight.com will not work. So feel free to copy and paste while you have time.

Unless my son changes his mind I will be blogging primarily at SlantRight 2.0 with Blogger.

Adieu

I received a comment from a defender of atheism identifying himself as Michael yesterday. There are atheists that have no belief in God and that is fine, we live in America. Then there are atheists that may be described as Militant Atheists that go the next level of an atheist belief system. That next level involves insulting believers in God topping off the insult with some kind of self-aggrandized intellectual superiority complex that all believers in God are stupid and uneducated. Such intellectual supremacism is fraudulent because a truly intellectual person – whether religious or atheistic – would comprehend denigrating someone is a sign of arrogance. An arrogant person is a contemptuous person; i.e. when the arrogance is a defining essence of one’s character. Everyone will have moments of arrogance; however wisdom usually tempers arrogance with time. That is not the case when arrogance is a constant of one’s personality toward individuals because one is more intellectual than another or worse only perceives they are more intellectual than another based on a belief system.

Admittedly there is a tone of arrogance in those devoted to a religion because the devotion means the competing religion is an error; hence when one tells another they must join one’s religion because it is the true religion the essence of arrogance is involved. Nonetheless, when one begins to denigrate another’s intelligence or intellect on a personal level for refusing the perceived truth then the character scale begins to tip a character flaw toward ingrained arrogance.

Honestly I have been guilty of that tipping scale especially when I have been angered by another’s intransigent haughty arrogance. Is temporary arrogance a character flaw? It is my opinion it is not a character flaw unless the temporary transforms into

Michele Bachmann for President Website
(I am assuming the website will change or go down)

My Dear Friends,

Running for president was one of the greatest honors of my life.

I ran because I believe the times we live in are so threatening to our economic survival, that 2012 is our last chance to change course if we want to remain as the world's leading economic and military superpower. I did not run for president for my own personal benefit, or to climb the political ladder; I ran because someone needed to stand up for our beliefs and voice our sentiments.

In deciding to run, I believed someone needed to talk about our shared values and conservative ideals; to stand up for our voice and belief in the America we grew up in and love; and to fight for our children and grandchildren’s future. We ran an honest campaign and I will always be proud of the work we did and the history we made. Together, with your support, our campaign changed the focus of this presidential election.

We talked about the important issues at hand in 2012: our nearly insurmountable debt, the absolute need to repeal Obamacare, and the necessity of eliminating Dodd-Frank. Frankly, my friends, had I not been a part of those debates, we might not have our voice heard loud and strong on those issues!

As my campaign traveled around the country, I saw the very best in America and our people. From diners, to community centers, to small businesses, I witnessed first-hand that our nation’s best days can still be ahead of us, and the work we did over the past six months can help us turn this nation around. That's why I'm writing to you today.

With your help and support, I am announcing I will seek re-election to

Understanding that Muslims have the right to the peaceful "free exercise" of their religion does not negate the fact that despite their protestations of being a "peaceful" and "tolerant religion", Islam and Muslims are anything but "peaceful" and "tolerant"; nor does it negate decades of well documented facts, from 1962 to the present, that illustrate islamists, such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, CAIR and the Islamic Society of North America, have mounted both political and violent jihad assaults within the U.S. and over several decades with the tacit and active support of most of the U.S. Muslim community, if dancing on New Jersey rooftops the day the Trade Center collapsed is any indication. They have taken these actions in the name of Allah and the false prophet Mohammed as they attempt to spread Islam and Sharia law across America.

More times than not, some of the most uneducated and ignorant Muslim "refuges" are being imported from areas where Sharia law is exalted, and they are fleeing conflicts that pit Sunni doctrinal aspirations against Shia doctrines; they are not fleeing to America due to some new found love of our representational democratic republic and the Judeo-Christian/ Hellenistic philosophies that form the basis of our American brand of democracy. Because the mandate of the U.N High Commission for Refugees determining refugee status is controlled by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and represents the largest bloc of nations in the U.N. comprised of 57 Arab states (remember Obama's 2008 statement "I've been campaigning in 57 states"), Muslims are favored although they face no religious persecution in their homelands; while at the same time, Christians attempting to flee persecution and death under Sharia law in numerous Islamic nations, such as Iraq, Egypt, Nigeria and many others, are denied refugee status, even though they meet the standard under Statute 6B of the UNHCR..." a well found fear of persecution by reason of race, religion, nationality or opinion".

Enabling the islamists assault on America, the Obama administration is knowingly complicit in the advancement of Sharia law within our U.S. legal infrastructure by

Michael Defends Atheism in Comment

Person identifying himself as Michael has sent a rather condescending comment on my thoughts on atheism and Christianity. I have become weary with this poor deluded atheists that believe in their minds (they don’t believe in hearts) that a lack of belief in God makes them a supremely educated person because only the poor and uneducated would believe in a Personal God (Sounds like our President doesn’t it?).

The SlantRight blog is not set up for comments to be delivered to my inbox associated to a post. This leaves me guessing to which post a comment is linked to. In this case Michael could be commenting on “Stand Up to Militant Atheists in Public Society” or “Wilheru Criticizes Standing Up to Militant Atheists”.

I will try to address Michael tomorrow but if not, I will get to his supremacist intellectualism Saturday.

Comment: There are so many things fundamentally wrong with this article I don't even know where to begin. However, begin I shall if for no other reason than to be the voice of reason.

Atheism is not a belief system, religion, world-view, or even philosophy. It is merely the opposite of theism. That being said there are ANTI-theists, Pear lists, and agnostics who have a world view you could attack. Either way, to say an atheist believes that humanity is supreme is a fallacy. Evolution proves quite the opposite. Humans, if anything, are just another primate who has developed skills and language. Science is not a deity so it cannot be worshipped. Science is merely the method by which we can prove things not unlike mathematics. It has a self-examining/reviewing factor to it and its success rate is very high. I am not saying I am a god, as this would be a delusion. Just as belief in an outer presence who controls and watches everything from beyond is a delusion.

I would consider myself a center left voter. In this you are right. I am educated. I help my

The issue is quite simple. To be President of the USA or to run for the Presidency of the USA, Obama must be a "natural born citizen" according to the Constitution of the USA. The term "natural born citizen" has been defined previously and it requires two conditions:

1) Obama must be born in the USA. This doesn’t make atheists angry, it makes us laugh. It makes us laugh because, frankly, you are misrepresenting atheism. How silly would I be if I claimed that your particular brand of Christianity is all about a wicked ritual which includes cannibalism and drinking blood of other men? That’s how silly your post sounds.

Oh, and the Constitution forbids using government funds (taxpayers’ money, that is) to promote or discriminate on the basis of any belief system. It does not forbid religion to influence the government, nor should it. What I mean by that is the following: the government doesn’t have the right to forbid abortion because it says so in the New Testament (hint: it doesn’t.). That would be discriminatory against every other religion and some Christians too. It has the right to forbid abortion because it considers embryos entitled to protection. In this case, religions can solicit the cause. It isn’t based on their beliefs, but it suits them nevertheless.

You are right when saying that the Founding Fathers considered Christianity when creating the first amendment. That is because they didn’t want to have a war like those in Europe over whose interpretation of the Bible is correct.

I’m curious if you could substantiate: “[The founding fathers] considered Christian culture and Biblical values as

Mere Orthodoxy

In recent days, Mere Orthodoxy has played host to several essays on Newt Gingrich. Matthew Lee Anderson—a friend and co-laborer in the effort to engage young evangelicals with conservative ideas—and Jerry Walls have stated their unequivocal opposition to voting for him. For them, a lifetime of personal vanities, grandiose policy proposals, character flaws, and serial adultery disqualifies Newt from receiving support from evangelicals. Even worse, were evangelicals to support Gingrich, it would potentially contradict our Christian witness (especially regarding marriage), making evangelicals “opportunistic hypocrites.”

Matthew states,

“The evangelical support for Gingrich, then, erodes and undermines their moral witness on the question of marriage, making it seem nothing more than platitudes that are conveniently tossed aside for convenience and charisma.”

Jerry Walls uses even more forceful language to express his opposition,

“But we do need a President who can lead with moral authority and address moral issues with the sort of credibility that comes from a history of integrity. Newt has forfeited the ability to do that by his multiple betrayals and deceptions, and therefore the right to ask us to support him with election to our highest public office.”

We disagree.

Equal-weight Opponents

Ari Bussel senses there is an all out war about to erupt in the Middle East. The primary opponents will be Israel and Iran. Iran’s confederates are the Sunni terrorists Hamas and the Shia terrorists Hezbollah. You can throw Syria and Lebanon in there. Syria will be a willing confederate. Lebanon will a kicking and screaming confederate because not all Lebanese citizens see eye-to-eye with Iran or the client state of Syria; however the current power broker in Lebanon is Hezbollah. Bussel hints that former adversaries just might join in on Iran’s side if only to obliterate Israel.

Bussel is also dissatisfied with Israel’s preparedness to be ready for the potential coming war to wipe Israel of the map.

Who is on Israel’s side when a war erupts in the Middle East? It is unlikely that the militaries of Europe will come to Israel’s aid. Europeans have become useful idiots for Islamization. The only real nation that stands with Israel is the United States of America. With Barack Hussein Obama as President, America’s military commitment to Israel might be in question.

As in the sport of wrestling, Israel and Iran seem to be equal-weight opponents. The fight, though, will not be a sports competition where rules are followed. Rather, it would be a fight to the very end, until one dies a gruesome bloody death, while spectators are either shocked to immobility by the horrors they have just witnessed or cheering for the fulfillment of their wildest dreams.

The world thinks—along with Israel—that Israel’s power is superior to Iran’s. Most are convinced – and thus expect – Israel will attack Iran and prevail. However, the proposition that Israel will have the upper hand must be heavily reconsidered. Unless Israel decides it needs and wants to win, she will lose.

Never underestimate an opponent, especially when the stakes are so high. Whether or not the safe landing of the American drone by the Iranians proved Iran’s transparent technological superiority, Israel’s 2006 debacle in Lebanon was a clear indication that

Here is an irony about atheism: Atheists are self-deluded polytheists. Say what? That is probably the question of the religious person and atheist alike. Here is my reasoning of which I am totally aware will rile the atheists.

Dogmatic or militant atheists have a belief system. The human species is supreme. Science is the supreme foundation for asking the questions of life. Thus the deities of atheism are the human-self and science.

In denying the existence of God, the atheist is saying wittingly or unwittingly that he is his own god. Since the atheist is his own god only those that have authority over him have nominal control of their life (e.g. employer/management; an executive of local, State or Federal government – i.e. in the USA; the police or whatever socio-political allegiance that is chosen). Science is a deity because science is the knowledge fount for human understanding. That which science cannot measure brings into question the existence of whatever is unmeasurable. Questioning the existence of the unmeasurable is somewhat ludicrous because science utilizes mathematical theory to theorize the unmeasurable all the time and/or to develop some brilliant instrumentation the measure something that is discovered to exist.

My point is dogmatic/militant atheism has a stringent belief system that can easily be quantified as a set of religious values that denies the existence of a supernatural existence which for Christians would be God Almighty that is all and in all.

Most atheists tend to be Leftists (although remarkably I am aware of the existence of Conservative atheists). Hence Leftists are really big on the belief that

What Really Happened In A Georgia Courtroom On January 26, 2012?

A Birther Moment occurred in Georgia on January 25, 2012. The biggest representative of the Birther Movement Orly Taitz finally found a Judge that would listen to her case in spite of President Barack Hussein Obama’s army of lawyers and the weight of the Justice Department.

Here is some full disclosure. I am of the opinion that if there is some nefarious cover-up about BHO’s citizenship eligibility it definitely will not be exposed while he is President. Indeed, any nefariousness might take historians years to have access to records to prove or disprove BHO’s eligibility for President.

On the other hand the Birthers serve as a lovely thorn in BHO’s side that might dig up some dirt along different lines that might expose the President to the public of some kind of illegal activity. Somewhat like Nixon could not be directly tied to Watergate but his henchmen could be. The henchmen quite probably could link Nixon to a cover-up agenda of Watergate; hence President Ford proffered a complete pardon for Nixon to prevent further investigations of Nixon that might actually embarrass government (I believe the reason given for the pardon was for reasons of National Security). If a majority of Americans stupidly reelect Obama in 2012, there is a pretty good bet that the Birth thorn might turn up potential illegal dirt that places the President in an impeachable moment.

So I say, “Go Taitz and the Birthers!”

Gingrich Certainly Qualifies as a Christian Values Candidate

Sarah Palin took on the criticism that Newt Gingrich is receiving from Establishment Republicans on her Facebook page yesterday. Palin compared the attacks as consistent to how the Left Wing Media assassinates the character of Conservatives. Of course the greatest negative ads are coming from Mitt Romney who has not exactly demonstrated a Conservative Republican exemplar in his days of Governor of Massachusetts. Whereas Newt Gingrich has spent his entire political career emphasizing Conservative fiscal policy and values. Yes I said “values”. Newt’s personal life may have been a screw-up in living those values; however he did espouse those values. Every single person supportive of Christian values has made a mistake contrary to Christian values to one degree or the other. Let him who is without sin cast the first stone!

Those that have made a mistake with Christian values and have not sought repentance but rather have sought self-justification are the people that should concern values voters.

Consistent Pro-Life Record

Newt Gingrich has consistently upheld a pro-life standard. He had a consistent pro-life voting record throughout his twenty years in Congress, including his four years as Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Asking Wife For Divorce While She Was In The Hospital Dying of Cancer

Newt’s daughter recently wrote a column to set the record straight about this smear.

This story is a vicious lie. It was first reported by a left wing magazine in the 1980s based on hearsay and has survived in left-wing chat rooms on the Internet until today. It is completely false.

Recently, Newt’s daughter, Jackie Gingrich Cushman, wrote a column to set the record straight about this smear. The column reveals that

Searching through some old emails I discovered that a Texas law requiring a sonogram to pregnant gals choosing to murder their children via abortion was tossed by a Federal Court. The good news: Appellate Court overturned the Lower Court. SCORE ONE FOR PRO-LIFE.

In Texas, a federal appeals court upheld the state’s sonogram law, which requires that women seeking abortions view a picture of their baby before having the procedure. The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a lower court ruling, which had issued an injunction, preventing the Texas law from taking effect. The decision allows the state to begin enforcing the law immediately, mandating doctors to give pregnant women “truthful, non-misleading and relevant” disclosures before they have an abortion.

The appellate court logically said, “The State’s interest in respect for life is advanced by the dialogue that better informs the political and legal systems, the medical profession, expectant mothers, and society as a whole of the consequences that follow from

Pastor Facing Execution

Youcef (or variations e.g. Yousef) Nadarkhani is still facing execution in Iran for being a Christian Pastor and former Muslim. The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) believes public pressure has held Iran from allowing the execution to proceed. In an email attributed to Jordan Sekulow, the ACLJ believes keeping Nadarkhani’s case public via the social media. Sekulow suggests using Twitter by adding a Nadarkhani-ACLJ feed on your account for updates. I don’t Twitter, so if you are like use other social media you are with such as Facebook and so on.

Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is facing new pressure to recant his faith in Jesus Christ. Sources in Iran have reported to us that an Iranian judge is once again telling him to deny Christ or he will be executed.

Pastor Youcef is again refusing to recant.

He is still alive today because of international pressure on Iran – people worldwide raising their voices, demanding that his life be spared. We need to keep that pressure on, and

Radical Islam is Alive in America

ACT for America sent a link to a story from a local ABC News affiliate from the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota area relating to homegrown Islamic terrorism. The affiliate is Channel 5 KTSP. Jennie Olson reports on young Muslim Americans joining the Somali Islamic terrorist group al Shabab (which is in tune with al Qaeda) recruiting young Muslim Americans of which many appear to be from Somali decent. The link was sent without comment by ACT. Undoubtedly this is because the story itself is self-evident of the dark side of Islam. In full disclosure Olson portrays this Muslim-American flocking to al Shabab of Somalia as aberrant to Islam; nonetheless pay close attention to the organizations these Muslim Americans were members of in their college student days.

There are a couple of Muslim Americans focused upon in the article: Jehad Mostafa and Omar Hammami. Jehad Mostafa was President of the Muslim Youth Council of San Diego (MYCSD). The Olson article reports without the “why?” that the MYCSD no longer exists. I found an about MYCSD at Islamic Finder. Islamic Finder says this about the MYCSD:

MYCSD (Muslims Youth Council of San Diego) is a group of youth dedicated to providing positive outlets for Muslim youth in San Diego. We organize youth camping trips, Fiqh Lessons and other activities. MYCSD also works closely with MSA (Muslims Students Association) at Mesa College and other at Universities to provide Muslims students with tutoring and counseling. MYCSD is dedicated to showing the world that Islam is a religion of peace and Muslims are a peaceful and productive part of society. (SlantRight: Bold emphasis Mine)

So the MYCSD worked closely with

Romney Twisting Facts Against Gingrich

Mitt Romney’s attacks on Newt Gingrich’s political are intentionally skewed in a Leftist fashion of misrepresenting the facts. Take for instance Romney’s accusation that Newt Gingrich left the House of Representatives in disgrace and was fined for ethics violations.

USA Today Excerpt:

Left in disgrace?

Romney: The Speaker was given an opportunity to be the leader of our party in 1994. And at the end of four years, he had to resign in disgrace.

Romney later clarified that "88 percent of Republicans voted to reprimand the speaker, and he did resign in disgrace after that." Romney is referring to a reprimand by a Republican-controlled House in 1997 for submitting misleading statements to House investigators, who were looking into his alleged misuse of tax-exempt charities to advance his political agenda. The House voted 395 to 28 in favor of the punishment. Gingrich had to pay $300,000 to resolve the charges against him. He still denies that it was a "fine," and technically he's correct: The Ethics Committee report (page 94) didn't call it a fine, but rather a "payment reimbursing the House for some of the costs of the investigation."

The Gingrich website correctly notes that in 1999, after a three-and-a-half-year investigation, the Internal Revenue Service under President Bill Clinton concluded that Gingrich did not violate any tax laws. The website cites "renowned CNN Investigative Reporter Brooks Jackson" (now director of FactCheck.org) concluding, "it turns out [Gingrich] was right and

If a Muslim-American Organization Attacks ALAC then it’s Un-American

Shortly before Newt Gingrich’s decisive victory in South Carolina last week, he was asked a critical question by a Palmetto State voter: Would he support a Muslim candidate for president? …

Mr. Gingrich responded by saying it depends on a critical factor: Is the candidate “a modern person who happens to worship Allah”? Or is he “a person who belonged to any kind of belief in Shariah, any kind of effort to impose that on the rest of us”? Mr. Gingrich observed that the former would not be a problem, while the latter would be a “mortal threat.” The Georgia Republican went on to assert the need for federal legislation that would prevent Shariah from being applied in U.S. courts. (Frank Gaffney using the paraphrase to quote Newt Gingrich)

I use Newt’s thoughts on Sharia Law because he is my current choice for the GOP nomination for President. Way too many people consider this kind of talk as shooting from the hip. The reality is Newt is speaking the TRUTH!

Religious Freedom guaranteed by the First Amendment enables the free practice of Islam in America; however if that free practice includes the undermining of the U.S. Constitution and the government sworn to uphold the U.S. Constitution, then those parts of Sharia are not protected by the First Amendment. It should not take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Religious Freedom is not a constitutional right to overthrow the very Constitution that enables Religious Freedom.

When organizations like the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) protests a law like American Laws for American Courts (ALAC) then there is an agenda to

China's Moving in for the Kill

Tony Newbill found this article about China being a good place to invest because of the author’s belief that China will begin buying Euros perhaps looking like the hero; however a boost of the Euro might be a manipulative move. The move being to eliminate the Dollar as the global currency of trade.

From Tony Newbill:

China's Moving in for the Kill; here it is the Divide plan to split the alliance between the USA and Europe that is the Binding element of the US Dollar as the world trade currency.

Now we will Get to see what becoming SERFS [is like] from a failed trade policy over the last 17 years is going to do to the USA and Europe!!!!!!!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

In case you hadn’t noticed, China is beginning to play hardball with the rest of the world.

As the largest creditor nation, with over $3.2 trillion in reserves, it’s clearly in a position to do so.

It’s no secret that China holds a big chunk of its cash in U.S. Treasuries.

But while that may look like a threat, it’s really not. Why?

Because if China were to “unload” Treasuries, en masse, prices would fall, and the result would be a huge fiscal loss for the nation.

Nevertheless, believe me when I say that China will start to diversify out of Treasuries during this decade.

You see, there’s new prey on the horizon: Europe. And China will

The Republican race for the nomination that the voters will choose over the Obama regime has kind of pushed aside media coverage of Occupy Wall Street (OWS). After all OWS has been shown to lean toward violent anarchism more than political reform. To demonstrate the anarchist agenda of OWS I was sent to a blog called Political Vel Craft. The blog appears to be a pro-Ron Paul site – God have mercy on the writers’ soul. Nonetheless, the blog has some good info on OWS.
